Welcome to the

Aquila Chase Chapter Website

The Aquila Chase Chapter of Colonial Dames of the XVII Century was Chartered on July 29, 1971 in Santa Barbara, CA.  As the largest chapter in California, we are primarily comprised of members from Santa Barbara, Ventura and Los Angeles counties, however, local residence is not a requirement for Chapter membership.

Meetings begin at 11:00am on the second Tuesday of February, May, September and November at the Historic Los Robles Greens, Golf Course, Thousand Oaks, CA.  After a short business meeting, we enjoy a delicious lunch followed by an interesting and informative program.

Aquila Chase members are actively participating the following activities:

  • Support and improve the Genealogy Section of our local public library
  • Participate in the Veteran’s History Project
  • Support the Cal-Vet Home and Veteran’s Hospital
  • Assist members and prospective members in researching and proving their Colonial and Heraldic Ancestors
  • Mark and preserve local historic sites
